The LQS Framework — How the Life Quality Score Works

The Life Quality Score is the central diagnostic of the Get Better Framework — a structured measurement of how your life is operating across the four drivers that research identifies as the primary determinants of a life that feels fully alive. It's not a happiness quiz and it's not a personality assessment. It's a precise diagnostic that shows you exactly where your life is running well and exactly where the gap is — with enough specificity to make the path forward actionable rather than aspirational.

Common Questions

What does the LQS actually measure?
The LQS measures your current state across four drivers: Calling (growth, impact, meaning), Health (physical, mental, nervous system regulation), Connection (relationships, belonging, intimacy), and Resources (skills, energy, time, network, financial stability). Each driver is scored independently so you can see exactly where the gap is rather than getting a single undifferentiated number.
How is the LQS different from wellbeing assessments?
Wellbeing assessments typically focus on Health and sometimes Connection. The LQS includes Calling and Resources — the professional and developmental dimensions of life quality that most wellbeing tools ignore. This makes it more complete and more actionable for high-performers whose primary gaps are often in Calling rather than Health.
What do you do with the LQS results?
The results show you which drivers are running deficits — which directs the work. Within the Get Better Framework, the LQS baseline informs Vision Architecture (where you're building toward), the Transformation Management System (what to prioritize), and the 168-hour planning framework (how to allocate your time). The score is the beginning of the work, not the end.
Where can I take the LQS assessment?
The free LQS assessment is available at getbetterapp.com. No signup required, results in three minutes. The Get Better app tracks your score over time with monthly check-ins.
